Fewest Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-07-20
This Privacy Policy applies to Fewest, an Android home launcher app published on Google Play as app.fewest.
For privacy questions, contact support@fewest.app.
Summary
- Fewest does not require an account.
- Fewest does not make network requests for launcher features or operate a developer backend.
- Fewest does not include ads, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or crash reporting SDKs.
- Fewest does not sell personal data.
- Launcher settings and installed-app information are processed locally on your device for launcher functionality.
- Optional purchases are processed by Google Play Billing, as described below.
Information processed locally on your device
Fewest accesses and stores certain information on your device so it can work as a home launcher.
Installed app information
Fewest accesses installed app information provided by Android, including app labels, package names, component names, launcher activities, app icons, and user/profile information such as work-profile app entries.
Fewest uses this information to:
- show your app list
- search apps
- launch apps
- pin apps to the home screen
- hide apps from the launcher list
- support groups and work-profile or dual-app entries where Android exposes them
Installed app information is processed locally on your device. Fewest does not upload your installed-app list to developer-operated servers.
Launcher settings
These settings are stored in Android app storage using DataStore. Fewest does not upload these settings to developer-operated servers.
Privacy Lock
If biometric authentication is available and enrolled on your device, Privacy Lock may use Android’s system biometric prompt before a selected app launches from Fewest. Privacy Lock does not lock launches started from another launcher, an app, Android settings, or another entry point.
Fewest does not receive or store your fingerprint, face, or other biometric data. Android performs the biometric check and only tells Fewest whether authentication succeeded or failed.
Android backup and device transfer
Depending on your Android version and device settings, Android’s system backup or device-transfer features may back up or transfer Fewest app data through services controlled by Android or Google. This is controlled by your device and Google account settings, not by a Fewest backend.
You can manage Android backup in your device settings.
Information sent off your device
Fewest does not send launcher settings, installed-app information, hidden-app selections, Exact Launch selections, Privacy Lock selections, groups, or open counts to developer-operated services. Fewest does not make network requests for launcher features.
Google Play Billing
Fewest offers an optional one-time premium unlock through Google Play Billing. If you choose to purchase premium, Google Play processes the transaction.
Through the Google Play Billing library, Fewest may receive limited purchase status information needed to provide the premium unlock, such as:
- the purchased product identifier, currently fewest_premium
- purchase state
- purchase token or acknowledgement status needed to complete or restore the purchase
Google Play may process payment, purchase, device, and Google account information to complete and manage the transaction. Fewest does not receive payment card or bank details. Google’s processing is governed by Google’s policies and terms.
Information Fewest does not collect for developer-operated services
Fewest does not operate user accounts and does not intentionally collect or store the following on developer-operated servers:
- name
- email address
- phone number
- contacts
- photos or videos
- messages
- precise location
- payment card details
- advertising identifiers for analytics or ads
- crash reports or analytics events
Data sharing
Fewest does not sell personal data.
Fewest does not share your installed-app list, hidden apps, pinned apps, groups, or launcher settings with developer-operated servers.
Some information may be processed by third parties only when needed for specific app functionality:
- Google Play and Google Play Billing, when you view, purchase, acknowledge, or restore the premium unlock
- Android or Google backup and device-transfer services, if enabled by your device settings
- your browser, search provider, or destination website when you open an external link
Data retention and deletion
You can remove local Fewest data by:
- changing or resetting settings in the app
- clearing Fewest storage in Android system settings
- uninstalling Fewest
Purchase state may also be reflected in Google Play’s purchase systems and your Google account purchase history. Those records are controlled by Google Play. You can manage purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and purchase history through Google Play and your Google account settings.
Fewest does not provide account deletion because Fewest does not create or manage user accounts.
Your choices
You can use Fewest without creating an account.
You can use the free app without purchasing premium. If you do not purchase premium, Fewest will not initiate the premium purchase flow.
You can clear local launcher data at any time using Android system settings.
Security
Local launcher data is stored in Android app storage and protected by Android’s app sandbox. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but Fewest is designed to minimize off-device data handling and avoid unnecessary third-party SDKs.
Children’s privacy
Fewest is not designed for children under 13 and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if Fewest’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
